Meet the directors Lacie & Jadey Roberts:
The Roberts sisters were born and raised in Adelaide and began dancing at the age of two, training in all genres of dance. From a young age they were passionate about dance and strived for a career in the performing arts industry. A lifelong dream of Lacie’s came true when she took a contract to dance at the “Moulin Rouge” in Paris. Performing in “the world’s most famous cabaret,” was a highlight in her career. Similarly, Jadey has an abundance of experience dancing on television and at corporate events. Lacie and Jadey share a true passion for teaching dance and have been fortunate enough to share their knowledge through multiple workshops and teaching opportunities around Australia. They love sharing their knowledge and passion to the next generation of dancers.

Child safe Policy:
At LJR Dance Academy, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where all children and young people feel respected, valued and protected.
We believe every child has the right to participate in dance in an environment free from harm, abuse, neglect and any risk of harm. The safety and wellbeing of our students is our highest priority.
LJR Dance Academy complies with the requirements of the Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017 (SA) and the Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act 2016 (SA), as well as the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
We ensure that relevant staff and volunteers who work with children hold a valid Working With Children Check and understand their responsibilities in maintaining a child safe environment. Our staff aim to build positive, respectful relationships with students so they feel comfortable speaking up if they feel unsafe or have concerns.
If staff members suspect that a child or young person may be experiencing abuse, neglect or risk of harm, the matter will be reported in accordance with South Australian reporting requirements, including contacting the Child Abuse Report Line (13 14 78) where required. If a child is believed to be in immediate danger, SA Police will be contacted immediately on 000.
LJR Dance Academy takes all concerns regarding child safety seriously and will take appropriate action if any person poses a risk to children or young people.
We are committed to regularly reviewing and updating our child safe practices to ensure we continue to meet legislative requirements and best practice standards.
