LJR Dance Academy is an Adelaide based dance school specialising in a broad range of dance styles, focusing on technique, artistry and student progression. The team of dedicated and qualified teachers at LJR are passionate about helping your dancer reach their fullest potential. We pride ourselves on an inclusive and nurturing environment whilst supporting students to reach their goals. Located in the heart of Melbourne Street, North Adelaide we offer Ballet, Jazz and Tap classes with the opportunity for students to sit examinations. We also offer Hip Hop, Commercial Jazz, Radar Technique, Progressing Ballet Technique, Acrobatics, Pointe, Musical Theatre and Contemporary/Lyrical. Additionally, we offer opportunities for our students to compete at various competitions through Troupe Classes and Solo Lessons. We pride ourselves on creating confident all-rounded dancers, keeping all the doors open for whatever our students wish to pursue.

THE ACADEMY
MEET THE DIRECTORS: LACIE AND JADEY ROBERTS
The Roberts sisters were born and raised in Adelaide and began dancing at the age of two, training in all genres of dance. From a young age they were passionate about dance and strived for a career in the performing arts industry. A lifelong dream of Lacie’s came true when she took a contract to dance at the “Moulin Rouge” in Paris. Performing in “the world’s most famous cabaret,” was definitely a highlight in her career. Similarly, Jadey has an abundance of experience dancing on television and at corporate events. Lacie and Jadey share a true passion for teaching dance and have been fortunate enough to share their knowledge through multiple workshops and teaching opportunity’s around Australia. They love sharing their knowledge and passion to the next generation of dancers.

CHILD SAFE POLICY
At LJR Dance Academy our child safe policy is to stay dedicated to creating an environment where children are able to dance free from any harm, danger or abuse. This ensures that our staff and volunteers comply with the responsibilities under The Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017 (SA) and Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act 2016 (SA). The staff at LJR Dance Academy understand the importance of building trust with the students, to allow for every child/young person to feel comfortable in expressing concerns or unsafe feelings. At LJR Dance Academy, we ensure that all teachers and staff have been screened in accordance with The Department of Human Services. If LJR Dance Academy staff are suspicious of abuse or neglect, a director will then report to the Child Abuse Report Line (13 14 78). If believed that a child/ young person is in immediate danger, a report will be issued to SA Police. If a person is being charged/investigated for an offence regarding abuse/neglect to a child/ young person, they will be asked to leave the premises until cleared. Please note that LJR Dance Academy will continuously coheir with legislative changes and amend our actions accordingly.
